Colorado Springs is way better than Denver for a quick visit. Much much better mountain views, no haze, Garden of the Gods, Manitou etc.. Denver is anywhere America with a family roadtripping through till you get into the mountains. Spend your time in Summit or Eagle or Chaffee or Gunnison county CO, not Denver county.

Love The Springs but Denver has much more to see and do and it’s not close. I’d suggest visiting both though.
As much as I think this'd be an amazing experience, we do have a young child and animals we're responsible for, so I think it'd be better to try and hit the more "inhabited" areas, so to speak.
