NYC is much more uncomfortable than LA in the summer. Not even close.

I was just out there for 5 days, and in my area it never got above 78. At night it was in the upper 50's - cool enough for an extra blanket.

The Valley gets hot in the summer, but most of the Westside never really gets hot.

I'd see Hollywood moving to the south. The South is becoming a hot spot for making movies. Perhaps in NC, or even Austin,Tx (Which is becoming huge in the film industry).

Which reminds me, Orlando or Miami would be very ideal also.

I think NYC is better in the winter too, just my opinion

In the winter time, I like to see snow

I dont see that happening. If the south gets a movie industry then it would be Miami

Well, there already is a pretty sizable industry here.

There are major sound stages in Wilmington, NC.

Right now, there are 3 movies in production around Atlanta. Georgia just revamped it's tax structure to attract more films.

I understand but you said that LA is an oven in the summer and for the most part, NYC feels much hotter than LA in the summer-at least that's how I feel having lived in both cities.

On the other hand, some people like humidity. I just think its very uncomfortable.

New Orleans and Miami seem to have more movies filmed there than any other cities in the South. I think NOLA has a decent sized movie industry there.

new york being hotter than LA at anytime of the year is laughable. They have a whole different level of heat on the west coast period

The early silent film industry started in NY. Early TV studios were also in NY.
