Lets say Los Angeles and all of SoCal got wiped out by a 10.9 earthqauke and all of SoCal and Hollwood had to move. What city do think Hollywood and all its industries and excentrique people should go to?
A 10.9 earthquake? That would indicate nearly 1000 times more energy released than in the 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake (which caused the Tsunami that killed 230,000 people). As in, more than all of the bombs dropped in the history of warfare. That would be the single most violent event in the history of mankind, and would ruin most cities on the West Coast. Losing Hollywood would be the least of our problems.
I would say Albuquerque,New Mexico cause so many Californians in the movie industry have made the move here cause of our new movie studios.
We have the 2nd largest film studios outside of Hollywood,Sony imageworks relocated here and there is talk for a second movie studios here. Santa Fe is also getting a movie studio sometime in the next couple years.
We have 3 TV series that is filmed here and so many movies have been filmed here in the past couple years like- No Country for Old Men,Transformers,Employee of the Month, Beerfest,3:10 to Yuma,Wild Hogs, The Eye, The Hitcher just to name a few.
The movie industry likes Abq's diverse landscape and that its only a 90min. flight to L.A.
NYC is already the second largest US film market behind LA and the largest US Theater market. It would make sense that it would go to the next largest since it's already equipped to handle it.

Surek, yeah I've always wondered why so many movies are set in New York or Los Angeles. Why can't they ever have a story about cops, counter-terrorism agents, high school kids, college kids, housewifes or detectives in a place like Kansas City or Raleigh?
Well Albuquerque is getting a huge new movie studio..and its next door city Rio Rancho is also getting one or two as well, as of this year they have filmed more movies in ABQ and in New Mexico than in any other American City or State.

So i think it would be Albuquerque.
lol, thats laughable. For every movie filmed in New Mexico, I can name 3 filmed in LA alone.
