NorthPark Center was built in 1965, what do you suppose to expect?!?
Maybe some fresh paint, I mean they did a huge expansion and "renovation" why not expand the entire mall or fix the ceiling to at least let more light in.

I guess they wanted to keep the original design, it looks better that way.
