I know Akon was born in STL. but he moved to Senegal then he came to New Jersey when he was like 13 or smething like that. I don't know his exact age but he went to high school in jersey city

Well did you go to the first page or the second or third. On this thread it's been said and most would agree that New York is the #1 city in regards to Hip Hop- but recently we've been discussing other cities who did contribute to Hip Hop's international and ever growing success- although sometimes we tend to get off topic -cough *Akon*- but we'll get back on momentarially
