NYC is at the top of the city food chain in the USA, and is truly an elite global city. It is a place that all Americans should be proud of as it represents the greatness our country has attained.
A breath of fresh air after too many cold and whiny posts

Here is someone who can actually be fair and say something decent about another city. Unfortunately too many people are the opposite and feel the need to bring down other cities. They actually think that in order to build up their own city - they need to troll and trash talk other cities.
NYC is a nice place, but once you've been to places like Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, you realize that it's not the biggest or most happening. It's just another megacity.
Um, nowhere is more happening than NYC. Nowhere.
You think Seoul is more happening? Shanghai? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shanghai and Seoul are third-world cities.
We all know that most suburban and rural residents idealize New York City. My question is, what do we, the Major City residents of the U.S., think of New York City? Is it just a bigger version of our city? Something that our city can't even compare to? Is NYC over-rated? Arrogant, self-important, residents? Sellouts? The only true urbanites? Do we even care about NYC?
If you were born, or live in a Major U.S. City, tell us how you view New York as a city.
All of the above.
