can't really argue with that and puts the cities usually where I rank them on here as the premier U.S. cities... nyc and chicago ...then cali with 2 power houses in la/sf .. boston and dc right behind.
I've seen that list a few times before. I always wonder where Washington is. D.C.'s absence leads me to question the criteria they use. Regardless of how it may compare to the American cities on this list in terms of financial, educational, manufacturing, etc., influence (or whatever criteria they use), Washington's political effect on the entire world should be enough by itself for this city to at least make the list. Since this is not the case, I question the criteria.
I would put Miami in the 6 with Boston Dallas etc.. I would put DC up there with Chicago and LA the most powerful city in the world on par with Dallas???
