You included Charlotte and Indinapolis as the "Top 10 Sports Cities" while disavowing Philadelphia and New York City, two cities DOMINATED by sports. I was just confused by this. No need for everyone to get snarky.

When I think of NYC, No Particular sports team comes to mind, even though they have a lot. Philly would be a great sports city if there fans were more civilized.

Not including Philly and NYC in a Top 10 sports cities list should be a sin...they're both Top 5 easily.

My top 10:

1. Boston
2. New York City
3. Philly
4. Chicago
5. Detroit
6. Pittsburgh
7. Dallas
8. Denver
9. Atlanta: Not known for it's support of professional teams, but it's considered to be the capital of the college football world, so as an avid college football fan, I'm obliged to include them.
10. St.Louis

Okay, top 10 AMERICAN sports cities

(It is very very important to make it clear that this is what we are listing)

1. Boston- I just wanna preemptively say that if anyone DOESN'T include Boston I will have a good ol' fashioned C-D bitchfest.
2. Chicago
3. Philadelphia
4. New York
5. Detroit
6. Pittsburgh
7. Milwaukee (ONLY if including Green Bay as well. and yes I realize it's far away but Milwaukee is the packers market)
8. Dallas
9. Bay Area
10. St. Louis
11. Denver

I wouldn't passionately argue for or against most of these and I will probably change my mind in a few minutes. I'm sure people will think St. Louis should be higher but I have never personally witnessed anything that has convinced me of this. I added Denver after the fact when I remembered about the Avs.

The ones that MUST be on the list are Boston, Chicago and Philly. New York can be left of if you have some great reasons.

I would love to see the homer justification of this.

It's sad to see 3 teams that were all great sometime in recent history get such minimal support.

EDIT: Props to you though TB Fla for supporting your local teams

Minneapolis should be on the list. The area supports: MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, WNBA, NLL, USL, AAB, WPFL, and D1 sports.
