Unlike the last thread regarding rap and r&b, which listed lots of cities that have had little to no influence on the development of hip-hop and has deteriorated into something else entirely, I want to offer a chance to boil it down and talk about what actually matters.

It's an important topic, hip-hop makes us who we are, and is the most important form of music to emerge for a long time!

So, here they are...instead of debating tampa vs. st louis, let's talk about the REAL regions of hip-hop, the places that have shaped it in their own way over the years.

Which one do you think has had the greatest impact on hip-hop? Or, separate from the poll, which one do you think is the most underrated/overrated?

When it was young and in the East, there was still a purpose to it. When Westerners started making it, they started to pervert it. When it moved to the South, it was time to hang up the dream.

Um... sorry, no. This is pretty much the same as "the other thread" that's still active. Please add to that thread at your leisure rather than create what is essentially another one.

Thank you
