Where do pipes burst? I live in the Twin Cities and don't know anyone who has had a burst pipe, despite our bitter cold winters.

I choose LA. It blows Miami out of the water with entertainment and things to do and the weather.

Miami is cheaper to live in than LA but I would recommend LA if you want to be able to step outside the house and not be drenched with sweat. If you don't mind sweating like crazy and love heat + humidity and no change of seasons then Miami is the place to be. Miami's weather is pretty bad most of the year IMO and wages in Florida are not very good. Miami would be nice to visit but I personally couldn't see myself living there for the long term. I would think that LA is still better for starting a career. As for which city is better for singles, I can't help on that one because I'm not sure.

Go to Miami start at Miami-Dade Community College then into Florida International University for Pre-law. Once you finish if you want to stay in Miami go to FIU or UM school of Law and you'll be set. Miami is a great city with just as much as LA. Its one of the fastest growing cities and one of the densest.

You can always go up to West Palm for more options as a Lawyer without having to leave the metro.

If you don't like it after undergrad go to LA or some other city for the Grad.

Love Miami but it is more a tourist destination and not even the largest city in Florida. Los Angeles has so much more to offer.

To be fair we should acknowledge that even though LA city limits do not touch the ocean, it's less than 8 miles from downtown to the coast. Plus, as much as I love the teal tropical waters of Biscayne Bay in Miami, a dive north on the PCH toward Malibu or south to the OC & Diego could easily have me California Dreamin'
