I'm a single female, I plan on going to college in New York City or California. I love California because I love the beach and I'm very laid back, very friendly but I also love NYC because I love the city and the nightlife. How is the dating scene in NYC? I hear that there is more women than men in NYC which means it's hard for a single woman to find a good guy. Even though I am career focused, I would rather settle down and get married someday.
I don't think they're much different. But you've already stated you prefer California. Go where YOU will be happy, because if you're alone at the end of the day, you'll be miserable if you hate where you live.
Don't forget...things are different when you are in college, so it's easier to meet people in class and on campus, as opposed to being in the dating pool where you are not in close proximity to your peer group.

I would recommend going where you want to go. I agree with whoever it was above that said go where you will be happy. No matter your destination since your in college you will meet a lot of people!

I see a million beautiful guys each day! However they are all holding hands with eachother
Are you really basing where you want to go to school on where you greatest chance of finding a husband is?
I went to school in rural Ohio and i had plenty of boyfriends. no matter were you go you will meet people.
Let me tell you, this is going to sound very superficial, but if you are attractive as in "good looking", "hot", etc. I really don't think it matters where you go, you'll have no trouble getting a boyfriend. Go where you'll be happiest.
TO be honest with you, your better off going to college and dating a laidback socal boy instead of going to hustle and bustle of ny and dating stuck up guy. Most New Yorkers are not laid back, generaly the average New Yorker are stuck up people and thats no fun. Save New York for later like a career change or something. WHen it comes to dating from my perspective I usually go for out of towners and been pretty successful with out of towners compared to locals. But any wa, thats just my Two cents.
