When I say "Media Hounds",I mean what cities are always in the Media. What city can you not go a day or two, without hearing it in the news,a scene in a movie, people talking about it,articles written about it etc...Exclude the obvious like L.A.,NYC,Chicago.Also to add, what cities have huge media operations, from movie and T.V.production,publication headquarters, internet access,Top T.V. markets etc...

DC. Major news networks usually have offices and studios in DC b/c so much of what affects the entire nation goes on there. You cannot turn on the TV or read a newspaper without hearing mention of Washington DC.

Probably DC. The political influence of the city possibly makes it more mentioned in day-to-day media than Chicago. If you include sports, then Boston gets a lot of mention...but other than that we're relatively quiet.

I agree. I don't hear about Chicago nearly as much as I hear about the SF area.

But I voted for Atlanta. Especially if you're African-American and/or you watch BET. You're constantly seeing or hearing about something happening in "the ATL".

And don't forget about CNN and The Weather Channel. The anchors mention the city quite often.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, I was watching NBC Nightly News just the other night and they had a live remote from the CDC, and they mentioned it two other times seperate from the live remote piece.
