Which city would you rather live in, better shopping, entertainment, attractions, nightlife, cost of living, skyline, urban/suburban living, etc.?

Minneapolis...better climate.....too hot in Houston and the city has grown too fast, making it appear more transient and less stable.

Houston because of the better climate, very modern, close to the Gulf of Mexico and a lot of cities such as New Orleans , Dallas, etc.

Do you prefer extreme heat to extreme cold, or vice versa?

Neither city is particularly "urban" in that the majority of the housing is detached, single-family houses with yards. There are a few dense neighborhoods with apartments buildings, but they are the exception, not the rule.

Both cities have very good cultural amenities. I always found the nightlife in Minneapolis a bit dull, but that's because I was comparing it to much larger cities, like Chicago or New York.

I think the biggest difference is the culture. Minneapolitans are extremely civic-minded; Houstonians are much more laissez faire.

I'm gonna go with Houston on this believe it or not... I couldn't deal with the weather in Minneapolis, plus its extremely landlocked... I need to be by some water..
