I voted Houston mostly because I cant take the cold and I like the Internationalness. However, I would say that Minneapolis is one the most classy cities in the US. Its smart, educated, and quite a friendly place. Minneapolis also seems to be pretty diverse too. They have the 2nd largest Thai population after LA and the 2nd or 3rd largest Laotian community as well.
I will go with Houston. I like the weather and it is in the South so it is something I am used to. Personally, I can't deal with cold weather. I know being in the south is a stigma to some but I find it to be compliment.
Even though I voted for Minneapolis, I can't let this comment slide. While it's true that Minneapolis is consistently ranked AMONG the healthiest and most educated cities in the US, to the best of my knowledge Minneapolis has never outranked the cities of Seattle or SF on any of these lists.

No, I'm not off topic. I stated I choose Minneapolis because of its vibe. I felt it the first time I visted the city. I didn't get the same feeling the times I've been to Houston.
BTW, here is the question: Which city would you rather live in, better shopping, entertainment, attractions, nightlife, cost of living, skyline, urban/suburban living, etc.?
I would be reading a lot too if I had 8 months of winter. love those record lows too (w/o windchill)

Minneapolis - St. Paul has the largest Hmong, Oromo (Ethiopian), Liberian, Karen (Burmese), Anuak (Ethiopian / Sudanese) and Somali populations in the country. The area also has the second largest Tibetan population in the U.S.

Not quite accurate. The Twin cities definately do not have the largest Ethiopian population in the US, I highly doubt they have the highest Somalian population in the US either. This link should spell it clearer:

Yes, it is accurate. First of all, I never stated Minneapolis - St. Paul has the largest Ethiopian population. The area has the largest Oromo, Karen, and Anuak populations, which are ethnic groups from Ethiopia, Burmese, and Sudan. And yes, Minneapolis - St. Paul has the largest Somali population in the U.S. followed by Columbus, OH. The link you provided doesn't even list the country of Somalia, but a simple Google search will provide you with the information.
