As for living I would pick Dallas. Cheap to live, all the big city amenities, the Dallas Cowboys and with that beautiful new dt arts district Dallas is really becoming quite the place.

over-all i would not pick either...
i wouldn't pick philly because it has a higher crime rate then dallas when it comes to murder, rape, robbery, and assault.
and i would chose dallas because its in texas.... and i have yet to meet a texan that was nice... and why would i ever chose to live in texas, its so hard to find pepsi (from what i've heard), and coke is so horrible... plus they have a higher crime rate when it comes to burglary, theft, and auto theft. (for those that dont know robbery, burglary, and theft are not the same thing)
but if i absolutely had to pick to live in one of them, i'd live in philly

True about both; however, Dr Pepper is better anyways!

I think Philly has a free enterprise ZONE; you can get Coke and Pepsi..I hear they even sell and drink both products in that far away country..I think they call it China. .

Dallas has a better economy and it is coming up. Philly has seen better days. Other than proximity to New York where's the incentive?

The unemployment rate in the Philly suburban counties is 6%-8%, quite healthy by todays standards.

Oct 2009

US avg- 10.2%

Chester County(Pa)- 6.3%
Montgomery County(Pa)-6.9%
Bucks County(Pa)-7.3%
Delaware County(PA)-7.9%

Delta County-8.9%
Dallas County- 8.7%
Tarrant County- 8.2%

The incentive other than proximity to NY? Thats potentially selling Philadelphia woefully short ?Keep in mind that Philadelphia was one of the top 2 most important cities in the usa for the first 70% of this countrys existence, there has to be a couple good things left over right?
