That's a VERY tough pick. I love both. I might have to go with Los Angeles in the end, however, due to it's terrain differences. This won out by a VERY slim margin though.

How could someone living in Savannah take this question seriously?
yikes very tough, actually the toughest poll I have seen on city-data
Miami's ocean water and skyline just really set it quite high, and Los Angeles mountain backdrop just makes it really an amazing scenery, so it's tough to pick... man only if Miami had mountains in the distance that would just make one of the most beatiful sceneric places in the world, more than what it already is.
I would now cast my vote in Miami and LA!
(voted for Miami though in the actual poll) but it is both for me in reality.
Miami, but only by a slight margin. I like the ocean and mountain backdrops in LA, but the smog ruins it for me. I recall landing in LA after a short college trip to South Florida last week, and I remember how brown and gray LA looked in comparison to green, lush and subtropical Miami. Yes, LA is pretty (that day was particularly pretty, because the wind blew away the smog), and yes, Miami is flat, but the Everglades are somethin' else, man.
To me, Los Angeles easily esp if we are considering say, Malibu etc.
