Base your top 10:
mainly on stadiums that look good and are comfortable for watching a game(usually a modern stadium)
and partially on the stadiums history
also cities with stadiums/arenas/ballparks that are close to each other and near the heart of the city
It may not be the best stadia, but Houston has arguably one of the best collection of stadia based on proximity to each other.
The Houston Rockets(NBA) play in Toyota Center,Houston Aeros(AHL) play in Toyota Center, and Houston Astros(MLB) play in Minute Maid Park, and are all located in Downtown. The Houston Texans(NFL) play just a short train ride away in Reliant Stadium, just outside the Texas Medical Center. All are in the inner loop. Currently, the Houston Dynamo(MLS) play in Robertson Stadium, on the campus of the University of Houston, but are planning to build a stadium just outiside of downtown by the 2012 season. Still, Robertson Stadium is close to Downtown either away, as is all UH stadia. And Rice University's stadia is close to Dowtown as well, as it borders the TMC and is on the LRT as well.
Most of the stadia is relatively new(all built in the 21st century), MMP was built in 2000, and arguably has the most tradition and history as it was built on the site of Houston's Union Station, and nicely incorporates that with a train carrying oranges traveling the ballpark everytime there is an Astro's homerun/win a game.
Reliant Stadium was built in 2002, and was the 1st stadium in the NFL to have a retractable roof. Its neighbors with the Astrodome.
Toyota Center was built in 2003.
And if all goes as planned, the Dynamo's Stadium will open in 2012.
All in all, its hard to beat Houston's stadia's location. Since it will have a proffesional basketball arena, ballpark, and soccer stadium in walking distance, and a football stadim just a train ride away.

Seattle's Safeco Field and Quest Field are top-notch modern stadiums. They are literally right next to eachother. Safeco has a cool retro-ballpark feel to it, plus it has a retractable roof. KeyArena just sucks though.
I don't know about a top ten but Indianapolis has:
1.) Lucas Oil Stadium (2012 Superbowl Host)
2.) Conseco Fieldhouse (Best in NBA)
3.) Victory Field (Best AAA Baseball Stadium)
hrrm... I actually prefer older stadiums... i.e. wrigley field, and lambeau field... they are great places to watch a game. The old yankee stadium was cool too, as well as fenway...i also like giants stadium in san francisco right on the bay. I am more impressed with some of the larger college football stadiums like michigan/penn state/rose bowl. you can't beat celtics home court or madison square garden for an nba venue...

the new yankee stadium sucks, plus none of the players u listed played in it. the mets new stadium looks much better yet is overlooked because of the yankee hype.
