Lexington, NC
Kansas City, MO
Austin, TX
Dallas, TX
Are a few that come to mind first.
While I think Kansas City (Arthur Bryant's) is the best and Memphis a close second, I will say I have loved Austin's barbecue also - Stubb's, Salt Lick, and County Line on the lake... There is also a place in Killeen, I believe, that is excellent and I can't remember the name, but it's a tiny hole-in-the-wall family place, north of the highway, near railroad tracks if I remember correctly... NICE nice NICE family that ran it and the food was excellent!
