My initial thoughts were:

1. UK
2. Japan
3. France

Probably the UK with Japan being fairly prominent as well. Japan's cultural influence on the rest of the world has grown a lot in the last three decades or so. Video games, manga, anime, fashion, webtrends, etc. seem to be going strong for them and growing in popularity around the world.

^^^ My thoughts exactly. Add to that cuisine, cars, and karaoke.

Egypt/ethiopia/Iraq(greater macedonia). Those three nations laid the ground work for the society we have today. They were the first to "civilize"

Mesopotamia, I already said that above lol. But wrong topic. We're talking about artists, musicians, cultural qualities and stuff.

I think the influence of American culture has been waning. It seems people around the world are not as enamored with it or wowed by it as they may have been 30 or 40 years ago. They are much more attuned to regional or homegrown entertainment and media nowadays. That's what I've noticed in my travels anyway.

I would have to say the U.K.. While the de facto British Empire has been gone for some time, the cultural reverberations are still being felt throughout the world.
The cultural influences of Japan, China and India are certainly on the increase, however.

I am inclined to say the UK.

Its not uncommon to hear British artists being played on radio around the world. They have the world's most famous royal family and many parts of the world still has close ties to the UK that date back to its Empire and now Commonwealth. I mean from Africa to Asia to the Pacific and even the Americas, not to mention Australia/NZ/Oceania-Great Britain is everywhere.

Also, their language has been a great unifier-Im sure a lot of that has to do with the United States but even still, English is spoken everywhere.

At the same time, while most people in any part of the world could rattle off the names of several famous Brits, I don't think most people could name several famous Chinese or Indian or Brazilian people.
