San Francisco. You literally walk right out of one on Market Street, cruise down about a half a block and walk right into another one across the street. This continues for many blocks.

I remember reading an article about midtown Manhatten as having the highest concentration - i do know there is a block that has 4 and they do seem like they are everywhere

The article did reference that some were closing - a year or two ago at the start of the econmic situation

This, or New York City. Maybe any place where free wifi is widely used in public places.

Actually I saw a smaller concentration of Starbucks in Seattle than I did in San Francisco. A strong presence of Peet's and Seattle's Best appeared to balance things out.

Downtown DC is rediculous with starbucks. There is like 3 on GW campus alone and several more just outside GW.

I'm not sure what those maps prove, you can type in any big city and you will get a ton of Starbucks on the map. Chicago shows similarly...

This site however measures the number of Starbucks per 10,000 people.

Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitors sites is not allowed

According to them, it's Seattle with the most, then Las Vegas.
