Right down to the inclusion of a vespa scooter. But whatever, if it works it works.

Thunderbird is a weird name for a neighborhood, though. I suspect people living there would just call it "downtown" or "Ohio City", depending on which it connects to better.

I'm sure people will refer to it as whatever name the microbranding pushes. It worked with Hingetown and it's working with SoLo

I was happier before I knew "SoLo" was a thing. We need to reject these try-hard, marketed names. Yuppie monoculture continues to spread.

Cool idea (aside from the weird marketing,) but I'll believe it when I see it. Last time I checked, the whole peninsula is still a pile of dirt. Great Lakes bought some land there recently, but I don't believe committed to actually doing anything with it soon.

I believe Geis bought all of the land under an LLC and GLBC is signed on as an anchor tenant for the development. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

It looks like the site is already receiving some basic clearing, grading, etc.

I'm all for the advancement of Cleveland proper, especially by adding more housing and residents, but ...

Not on the formerly unspoiled and fabulously natural Scranton Peninsula. I used to spend countless hours traipsing through flowered meadows and beautiful forests there, before it was ravaged and reduced to piles of dirt and open mud yards.

I wouldn't even mind seeing portions of it developed as residential with some commerce, but the entire peninsula?

I do like the architectural renderings, by the way ... However, THUNDERBIRD as the name of a new neighborhood??? It just sounds tacky and very last minute. (Did the developer check with Ford Motor Company before stealing one of their classic nameplates) LOL!!!! How about giving a nod to the original peninsula itself by calling it SCRANTON LANDING or SCRANTON FLATS??

I love to see Cleveland push ahead, but let's not destroy such a pristine piece of land by OVER DEVELOPING it.

I wouldn't live in a neighborhood named Thunderbird if I could help it.

Ditto. Isn't it also the name of a brand of fortified alcohol?
