Also, an upcoming 7-building development??

Midwest had joined what became the Centric project because its own University Circle development, Circle City Center, requires a substantial ramp-up time. The seven-building, phased project at Stokes Boulevard and Chester Avenue, hinges on first completing the relocation and replacement of Cleveland Public Library's Martin Luther King Jr. branch at a nearby location.
Here is the current location.

And this is the original development/massing drawing for the 7 buildings on that block, mentioned above.

I hope that maize color is permanent. I read once that cloudy cities with winters, like Cleveland, should have bright-colored buildings in order to lighten the gloomy mood. The downside is that the bright colors make persons feel hotter on hot days.

What investments are being made to put Greater Cleveland at the forefront of blockchain basic and applied research? How does it compare to efforts elsewhere in the U.S. and globally?

My hunch is that we're far behind, and actually making little or nor effort to close the gap.

Cleveland should be putting a massive effort on artificial intelligence and machine learning, in general. I've yet to see any commitment comparable to Gateway or the effort to secure the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum....
By all accounts, blockchain technology is still in it's infancy. Bernie Moreno and others are positioning Cleveland to be a tech hub, I'm not sure of the downside. People can belly ache all they'd like, but even if blockchain weren't to amount to much (which I doubt) at least there will be some established infrastructure that could be of use in other tech fields. The Blockland initiative's proactive approach and ability to organize in such a short period of time has been nothing short of impressive.

^ The architectural rendering of this mixed-use development is impressive. Let's just hope that its construction will involve no compromises.
