Default awesome....

Not only is your post funny, it is quite literal....my wife and I are searching for ways to leave this sh--hole once and for all...it depends on job, children, schools and otherwise to do it right, but once those things are ironed out...goodbye. I have had the fortune over my adult years to travel and see a few cities (states) other than right here and let me tell you - this place has got to be one of the most God forsaken places in America. From the weather to the people to the economy to the housing to the job market to the lack of culture (we have the Rock Hall and even the induction cerimonies don't come here to accept!).
Thanks for sharing that list....though it made me laugh, it actually embarrassed me a bit that I actual live here.

Subway, I didn't realize how funny this actually was until I read your post like this about Cincy. I kept reading this one (about Cleveland) and thinking, "Everyone knows that. It's not just us Clevelanders." But then I read the other one and didn't know what the heck half of the things were and realized that no one except us Clevelanders probably gets these ones either!

Oh how true! I left Lake County a couple years ago and just sold a home in Ashtabula County a few weeks ago. I have no desire to bring my family back there.

But I LOVE the post!!!!!

I Left Cleveland 3 years ago and moved to Central Florida and I miss Ohio. Most likely will be back sometime in Jan. The only thing i will miss here is the warm weather. Florida just does not feel like home.

If you miss Ohio but don't want to deal with the brutal winters of NE Ohio, Columbus or Cincy may be what you're looking for. They also have better economies than Cleveland. Just a thought.

Too funny! As soon as I started reading the "Garfield 1-2323", that tune just kept playing over and over in my head!

Default I love this!

This is hilarious and so true! Makes me terribly homesick too. I'm one of those weirdos that actually does think Cleveland is the best city around--cause it's home, I guess.

You know you are from Cleveland if you can pronounce "cuyahoga".

Default Memories

I moved from Chardon Ohio (and taught at Euclid High for 22 years) to North Port Florida 5 years ago. Your post brought back many fond memories, I even printed it out to share with my family. 3 of my 4 children have followed me down here, so Florida feels more like home than Ohio at this piont. I sure don't miss northern winters. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and the high will be in the 70's here.
