We have been a few times to Carolina Beach and plan a day trip there next week. May take the dog with us. Can anyone tell me if CB allows dogs on the beach? Can't recall from past trips.

Thanks for any feedback.

The quick answer is no, except in the winter. There is a "pet park" for leashed dogs. Here's the town's policy: Pet Rules

Dogs are allowed on Topsail Beach.

"Are dogs allowed on the beach?

Yes, dogs are allowed, but they must be on a leash from May 15th through September 30th. At other times the dog must be under voice command of a responsible person, but does not have to be on a leash. The person must always be prepared to remove any "deposits" left by the do*** These regulations apply to the entire town including the beach.

Why are dog owners required to pick up pet waste?
