I'd suggest you look at places from Surf City down to Topsail Beach. Just my 2 cents.

Surf City and Topsail Beach was all our realtor would show us. In a couple of those in north Surf City, he pointed out the high water mark on the garage walls. We are on an island and no place is safe, but there are a lot of wash-over areas.
