We are planning a move to New Bern upson the sale of our home. We are considering the new development of New Bern Lake. Does anyone have information about this? We want a single family home with some trees. Wonder if anyone has been checking out this type of home in that area as well.

I am not familiar with New Bern Lake, we started looking in Taberna, which has very few trees. Then we went next door to Carolina Colours, which is on forest land, not farm land. One of the covenants is that builders are not allowed to remove any more trees than it takes to build the house, so our lot is still very wooded.
Have you made your move? If not, consider River Bend. I have lived here for 2 years. There are all kinds of homes, from small condos to large, new homes on the river or canal. The town has its own mayor and government, people are neighborly, and it's just 10 minutes or less from everything you need in New Bern. The town has a website you can find by googling River Bend, NC.
