I'm currently a senior in high school in the triangle, and a bunch of my friends and I are planning to take a trip to the beach this summer before we all go our separate ways.
We would like to rent a place during peak season (end of June) for a week. We have looked at multiple places, all in either Topsail, Carolina Beach, or Wrightsville. Around half of us are 18-years-old, the other half 17, and it's a group of around 8 girls. We're wondering if we're going to have a problem renting out a place. My mother has said she's willing to come and check us in, but would that make a difference?
We're willing to explore other options besides renting (which goes through legal real estate) such as getting a room at a hotel or bed&breakfast, but are those going to be any more lenient? I've heard Myrtle Beach lets 18-year-olds rent.
Any advice would be helpful!!

For me Myrtle Beach is great place to go for my beach graduation. Lots of variety of entertaiment and other similar high school graduates. I find North Carolina beaches to be more geared to families with limited things for teens to do.

Myrtle Beach is divided into two cities North Myrtle and Myrtle Beach stay closest as you can on the Grand Strand towards the middle of Ocean Boulevard.

NC beaches are great for you want just peace and quiet with limited entertainment and a good book.

If someone is 18 I am sure they can get a room.
Alot of the hotels will want to rent to older crowd so consider motels as option.
There plenty of decent motels at decent price right in heart of the action.

I think at your age, you would probably prefer Myrtle Beach. One of the 18 year olds should be able to book and check in the hotel room with no problems.

MB thrives on that age group

Yeah I agree. Myrtle is much more happenin' than Wilmington for your age group. If you are planning to go out at night, you'll be bored. Plus, some of the motels will allow 18 year olds to book a room. At least they used to. Good luck and have fun!

I was wondering if you have any suggestions for hotels. I have searched and have come up with a few, but most of them are either way to expensive or roach infested. Do you know of any that are good?
