Looking to relocate my family of 5 to Greenville for a possible new job.

What are the best areas to live in?
What are the best areas to live in for schools. We are also open for private schools.
Any advice/help is much appriciated.

East Greenville neighborhoods are good, specifically neighborhoods in the Eastern Pines area and in and around Bell Fork. Neighborhoods downtown near East Carolina University are nice, but are mostly older, smaller homes. You'll also have college kids as neighbors, which could be hit or miss. Neighborhoods adjacent to Evans St south of Greenville Blvd are good. Winterville is also a good option as well. Stay away from neighborhoods in west Greenville around West 5th St, Dickinson Ave near downtown (although Dickinson Ave west of Memorial Drive is pretty decent), and off Old Stantonsburg Rd. If you're going to live near the hospital, MacGregor Downs, Ironwood, and Rock Spring areas are nice. Oakwood School is a great private school near the MacGregor Downs neighborhood, but tuition is very expensive. Greenville Christian Academy and St. Peter's Catholic school are also great private schools. They say the DH Conley High school district is the best public school district, which encompasses east Greenville and east Pitt County.

Southeast Greenville from Bells Fork toward DH Conley has the best public schools in the area.
