I live in Kinston NC and I am looking forward to taking my kids on their very first vacation ever. We want to stay in Eastern NC at the beaches, Not real particular which one, we just want one that has other things to do than play on the beach. Does anyone know of any resort, or Beach Front Motel or anything that has like a water park or bumper boats or slides or anyting for my kids to do once they get bored playing in the beach. I prefer a beach front either rental property or a motel but just want some idea on where to go and what do to. Prefer something water related like water parks, slides, bumper boats that kinda thing, since it is way to hot to do much of anything else..I have never been anywhere in Eastern NC besides greenville and kinston so I am looking forward to exploring Our state and just letting the kids see what Eastern NC is all about.
You can find what you are looking for in Emerald Isle

You can find bumper boats, a water slide, miniature golf, go carts, bike trails and lots to do in the Emerald Isle area.
You might try The Islander in Emerald Isle, they are completely renovating it and I know some of the units are ready and some are going to be ocean front.
Here is my Emerald Isle travel guide (http://coastalnc.org/emeraldislenctravelguidecd - broken link).
You can also get a taste of the shore at this youtube video I posted today. It was taken at the Eastern Regional Access in Emerald Isle and show the new accessible ramp which makes it possible for almost everyone to access the beach. There is a similar one at the Western Regional Access.
