We've been looking around the whole area (on the web), and will take a ride down there next month, but so far, New Bern appears to be a very nice retirement spot, and maybe our next home.

Would like to hear the good and the bad please, especially from those who have retired there.

New Bern was named one of the top 50 places in the country to retire. I don't remember who named it in the top 50 but I just saw it on The Today Show a few months ago.
