Colorado was very weak last season.
In the Alamo Bowl against Texas, the mediocre Longhorns ran up 638 yards and 55 points on the Buffs - an easy rout.
Aggies should roll them just as easily.

Ohio State is down 14-21 in the 3rd quarter, are they overrated? or, will they come back to beat Oregon & prove they're for real in the top 5?

I never cared for Ohio State much after living in Michigan for 10 years.

I don't recall Ohio State playing such a tough opponent this early in the season before, but I could be wrong.

Ohio State always seems overrated to me, & they seldom play any top 5 teams until the very end of the season, and they lose to most of those.

For all the high rankings and press the Buckeyes get, they've only won 2 national championships since 1971, and none in the past 7 years.

If they come back & wipe out Oregon, I'll have to admit they are a legit top 5 team this year.

update...down go the Buckeyes!

Ohio State falls 35-28, & Oregon didn't even have their star player, an elite pass rusher so Ohio State's QB had all day to throw the ball, and they still couldn't win.

It has now been confirmed...Ohio State is overrated again this year.

The only other ranked team they'll have is Penn State, which leave them no chance to climb back into the playoff picture.

Will Ohio State drop out of the top 10?

Nice game for Oregon. Seems like the Pac-12 is doing in football what they did in March Madness this spring. Colorado is leading 7-3 at the half over a likely overrated Texas A & M.

What a crazy Saturday. Suddenly that Notre Dame victory over the Seminoles looks, well, meh.

I watch very little tv of any kind (I don't even have cable), but when I do turn it on, its typically for sports...mostly college football.

For the 3rd time in 2021, I watched tv...the 2nd half of the Ohio State Oregon game, and the network clown talking heads couldn't have been any more in the tank for Ohio State. I had to mute it to get to the games end. Since when do talking heads take sides so heavily? Has that become normal?

I'm so glad I've become out of touch by not watching tv, because I don't need that junk. Just describe the game, & provide some unbiased analysis, or shut the eff up....rant over.

I'm so glad some of the gloried programs got upset yesterday, or were almost knocked off by nobody's...made my day.

I think 5 of the top 25 lost, & 3 others had scares. Only 2 of those losses were to other ranked team, so we had 3 true upsets.

Outside a few teams at the very top, it seems we have more parity this year than ever before.

I'm glad Clemson, Ohio State, LSU, USC, & Florida State lost already, and Notre Dame almost lost. I'm ready for some different teams to emerge...like Coastal Carolina, Arkansas, Cincinnati, BYU, & UCF (Central Florida).

Even though I'm a SEC Football fan, I'm ready for someone to knock off Alabama too, but it looks very unlikely this year. They do have 5 good teams on their remaining regular season schedule though, so there's hope. Texas A&M stumbled past Colorado, so I guess they are not living upto their early hype either...I can't see them beating Alabama.

Sadly, it has become the norm. I watch many games with the sound off, if not initially then by the end of the game.
I started that when Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson, the two worst announcers in memory, had the call of the SEC games. I made the habit of turning the sound off as soon as the broadcast started.

Case in point, watching games in a sports bar on Sundays, so that I can see several games at once and also see games that the local channels will not show. It is impossible to hear the sound anyway, and I think I enjoy the game even more.

Recently, Coastal Carolina Owned Kansas, but the announcers spent all of the first half talking up the Kansas program, how improved they are, how great they are going to be, how they got so and so from such and such to play there, and the few times they scored, how great someone on that team was. Ignoring the ranked Coastal Carolina, from a smaller -status division. They did it the week before with East Carolina and App State.

In fact, the best announcers, IMHO, are the ones that call the SWAC games. The Grambling Tennessee state game was fun to watch and well narrated.

I got tired of the Commercialism and hype of the SEC. I will watch it, and I will watch any game, but I am not so much a fan of any conference. I do enjoy the MAC games in October and November when they start running them on Wednesday nights. I think that any college football game can be fun to watch, because the players are usually trying their best and wanting to make each play.

I kinda noticed that last week.. They struggled a bit against Minnesota.. I just didn't want to say anything because.. I wasn't really sure how good Oregon was, since, after all, they kinda struggled with Fresno State.

Alabama is another one that.. Doesn't exactly look the same. Don't know what it is... I'm not going to call that Florida will be an upset.. but, I'm interested to see this game to see if they're just taking things easy to start the year or what.

As for playoffs.. It's way, way too early. The people saying that Clemson is out after a loss to Georgia.. Or saying OSU is out after this loss.. Early season losses are generally much better to recover from than late season.. Though, OSU's pushes several 'worst case scenario' buttons.

We don't know what's going to happen with the rest of the teams. There always seems to be a few late season shockers that come into play.

ND follows that up barely beating Toledo by 3 points. The Irish don't look good.
