I should add that you are not going to interview wildly famous people all the time. In the late 70s, because I was a news writer and DJ at my college radio station, I interviewed Talking Heads because they were playing nearby. They had a record contract, but they were thought of as an "Underground Rock Band." I was thrilled, though but I'm not much of a pop music fan - then or now.

I know all all Gay friendly. The last three are affordable. There are others, but off the top of my head those came to mind. As a major, that particular major tends to be Gay friendly.
