I did my undergrad there. I had a great experience there they have some good professors especially in the Science Dept. My cousin just started there in Sept 09 and she really likes it. It has less students than many of the other universties in the Bay area that was why I chose to go there and not San Francisco State.

I like the fact that its on the top of the hill. Good views. Less students and lot of land. Commute college basically.

I am class of 2003. Anything changed since then besides the name? I still got the Hayward alumni license plate though!

I grew up in Hayward so this was the go-to college for a majority of the people I knew. Although I didn't go my friends all seemed to like it there and seemed to get enough of the "college experience" to keep them happy. And I hear they have on campus housing now so it's probably even better these days. I know lot's of adults who have gone there to get degrees later in life or when they were making a career change. Overall it's got a good rep.

I lived in the campus housing. They were pretty decent. 2 bed/1 bath apartments.

Over Christmas dinner I had my niece over and she said they always have something going on campus. She also said that there are lots of young and older people there.
