My At&t has worked about every where I went snowboarding at. The customer service is really good too. But Sprint sucks IMO!

Default Mobile phone service

Hello all, I'll be moving to Springs this summer from Northern CA (no, I'm not a native Californian, so you can't make fun of me for that ).

Anyways, I need to get a new phone/provider and want to get something that will work well there. Right now I have Virgin mobile, which has good service and coverage here, but the phones are shoddy and keep breaking on me. Virgin uses the Sprint network, I believe, so I'm thinking of switching to them (I know I can't get signal from T-mobile and and Cingular at my house). Does anyone use Sprint in Colorado Springs? Does it have good coverage? Any suggestions as to what's good or what to specifically avoid?

Thank you in advance!

I should add a couple of things:

1. I'm not interested in hearing specific gripes about phone companies. It seems like everyone has good experiences with some companies, bad ones with others, and they all vary. I just want to know about coverage, and I've found through experience that the coverage maps the companies publish aren't very reliable.

2. I don't know what area of town I'll be living in. We'd like to live somewhere up in the foothills, but that may be out of our price range. Because we don't know, I want something that has decent coverage all around town.

I think probably if you are within town and the suburbs, and the I-25 area, probably any provider will work fine, but if you are in the foothills, or out in more rural areas, some providers will have better coverage than others. Where I live (rural), I can get coverage for text messages, but hard to make a voice call. Many people drive up the hill to a high point to get covered to make a call.

I've had nothing but good to great coverage all over the Springs and Woodland Park with my Sprint phone (HTC Touch).

I also want to point out that I have a data plan with my phone and 3G speeds are pretty good. I average about 1MB download speeds with it.
