Obviously CO is related to a few different states. Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and even Nevada are all like brother related states, but some have more in common with the other. Colorado is definitely not related to Wyoming, the cultures, people, food, even climate, are completely different. The same can be said for Kansas, but i will include them anyway. I will include california as well, although I do not believe anywhere on earth is quite like CA, even though so many californians are moving to Colorado. Use a combination of all the factors above, and come to a conclusion of what state CO is the most related to.

I voted Utah because of the desert and mountain similarities between the states. But I will say that this is a weird poll, states tend to have many different regions so it is hard to vote.

I meant more like related states. The four corner states tend to have much of a relation in many ways. Sorry if this poll sucks. I thought it would be an alright poll.

What's your perception of Middlebury? Ever been there? Boulder's no Berkeley I can tell you that. Not sure why that means I was born in 1990.
Anyway, I don't think there's one state most related to CO. If you divide the state into regions, it would obviously be most similar to the state it borders.

My perception is that I have been to a few small towns in Vermont with my in-laws. They are from Rochester, and when I visited one summer, we all went up to Vermont because they kept telling me it was beautiful. It is pretty but the small towns we were in Rutland and then we went down to Bennington. My perception was that yes, they were pretty. They were also much smaller than Boulder and less with the college vibe. I have been to Berkeley, CA twice and that reminded me a bit of Boulder. Although Berkeley is bigger than Boulder is. But, the mentality of the students, people, lifestyle seemed very similar to me. Vermont is pretty, but the people I encountered were MUCH different than people out west in Boulder.

I voted Utah for the similarities in topography and where the population tends to concentrate. The history of Native peoples is also similar, but not as similar as CO-NM.
