Might be relocating from the Miami Area, would like to know what part of Colorado would be a good fit for me.

I am 22, currently working as a server- would like to continue this or get a job in a hospital

Education: Currently enrolled in Community College- would like to continue at another school or go to a vocational school to get my RN.

Enjoy mountain biking, hiking, target shooting and listening to live music (Punk-Ska), I also enjoy skiing

Thanks in advance!

I did not know that Denver's gun laws were different than the rest of Colorado.

Don't bring your assault weapons to Colorado! Move to Alaska! Or Russia!

^^^

Denver doesn't have a AWB. The law limits semiauto rifles to 20 round magazines. Obviously no one will know unless you're caught in city limits between your house and where you are heading outside of the city to go shoot. But it is the law. Some stores such as Sportsman's Warehouse will not sell you a 30 round mag if you list your address in Denver County on your background check form. For examply, if you buy a Bushmaster they will remove the 30 and put in a 20 (but won't give you a discount, WTF).

Back to the O.P., if you have server experience you will do very well in any ski town. If you're looking eventually move into healthcare, then Vail and Aspen both have large hospitals (relative to other mountain towns, but not as large as metro hospitals).

Have you looked at Grand Junction? Colorado Mesa University has an amazing RN program. Two hospitals. Nice downtown. We welcome guns! Wonderful mountain biking areas. Near the Grand Mesa with skiing at Powderhorn. Fairly close to other ski areas. GJ has a nickname of "Banana Belt" because we are usually warmer than the rest of Colorado. It's been a LOT colder this year, though.
