Florence mayor resigns amid allegations of racist behavior | News - Home

Mayor Hinkle of Florence, Colorado resigned after publicly calling a woman the n word, only to find out later she was a dark-skinned white woman. Well, he certainly didn't pass the IQ test for public service!

yeah. I'm a denverite myself so this sort of news trickles up to me a bit slower. At any rate, I'm glad to have heard the community reacted to this by publicly calling for his resignation. Good to know there's zero tolerance for this sort of behavior.

I've never even said the N word. To do so in somebody's face is unthinkable.

yep, there's a saying in the Ukraine: drunk man says what sober man thinks. This guy could blame it on the fact he was drunk but that wouldn't help his case a bit.

It just goes to show you in this day and age... instead of bewailing your political affiliations' opponent for the lack of jobs, stop trying so hard to hand off the job you already have.

Anybody here have a hard time finding a job/changing a career in the last ummm... four years? Ever consider delivering pizzas? I did. And about three weeks into it, I had to go to my boss and apologize for having to give my one week notice because two huge companies wanted to hire me for full time employment with benies. Why in the world would I want to louse this up by showing up to work late or doing drugs or... getting busted for some harassment charges?

Oh sure... you got to show up to work once in a while... follow a few simple rules... and maybe actually DO SOME WORK... but it's nice to know that those willing to work can find employment by mere attrition by knuckleheads like this if nothing else.
