Thanks, Burr, I was secretly hoping my daughter would get a job or husband in SC but, alas, didn't work out that way. She got a great job in Northern Virginia and is very happy. We will be in Greenville to visit our son in the Upstate soon and have discussed a baseball game. I would love to go but not sure the timing will work. Columbia is definitely still high on the retirement list, too! Go Gamecocks!
Hey, Lover, I was born in Greenville and my family is spread out up there from Easley to Spartanburg. (way too much orange up there for me) Great news on your girl and her career.

Lynch I was secretly hoping the same thing! We really want to move to the Carolinas and my son said he would have no problem with it. But the company she interned for last summer here in NJ offered her a job. We will have to see what the future brings. In the meantime I will live vicariously through this forum LOL
Ive spoken with you both about the kids and the school. Yall come on down. Its nice living an hour away, ESPECIALLY since my daughter got a job in Columbia. Ive been to several mid-week ballgames up there with her and made it home before midnight !
Barbara, your timing is awesome. My wife and I were down recently for the spring game. She reminded me that she cried all the way home when she graduated from Carolina. She absolutely hated leaving the school but, she loves going back now. I still think the horseshoe is one of the best settings for a college campus. The last time ESPN Gameday was at Carolina, the group could not say enough positive things about the historic horseshoe.
GSP I agree about the horseshoe. When we first went on the college tour and walked out of the admissions building onto the horseshoe I was so taken with how beautiful and tranquil it was. We did a last walk around it before we left.
Hey Barb, Im happy you all liked it down here; it seems to be so many (on this forum) that are either unhappy with this area and lifestyle or delusional about it. Good luck ! Oh, did I forget to say it gets a little muggy down here ?
