When it comes to actual cuisine in the South, everywhere else is second fiddle to culinary historic urban centers of New Orleans, Charleston, and Savannah and the regional megacities of Atlanta, Miami, Houston, and Dallas.
And no other city in SC outside of Charleston is known for cuisine anyway (which is different from quantity/selection of restaurants IMO) except maybe Beaufort but it's in the same category with Charleston in terms of its culinary legacy. In that respect, having Columbia make any sort of appearance on this list might have hurt more than help.
