I have the weekend off and it's suppose to rain all weekend. What is there to do in Columbia or Sumter that is indoors? Is there an iMax in Cola? Other suggestions?

Thanks.

What do you mean? It's college football season...! ;c)

There's an iMax in Myrtle, but that's 90 minutes away. Frankie's Fun Park up off Harbison (Cola). Sumter Value Cinema is still open for a few weeks and is playing the new Transformers. Intimidator's indoor karts over on Pike. Sumter's new library is nice if you have any interest in that. Museums in both cities.

ok...I have to ask, how in the world are you getting from Sumter to the IMAX in Myrtle in 90 minutes. I transported a prisoner to conway last night at a little under 100mph and it still took me an hour! That wasn't even to Myrtle either! On a serious note though, we are still plagued with trying to find things to do here too, so if anyone has any other suggestions as well, I am also open.

If you newer Sumter residents don't know, the Sumter Co Fair kicked off yesterday and runs through the 3rd of October. We took our daughter last night and had a blast. It *can* get expensive (my wife bought tickets in advance this year, but at the booth I think they're $1/per, and rides range from 3-4 tickets each), but you can get in and out and have fun without spending too much (pick out a couple rides then walk around and check out the poultry barn, livestock barn, live entertainment, the games are cheap, etc).

The fair is located at the corner of 763 (Liberty) & 15 (Guignard), just East of Swan Lake. To get in it's $7 for adults, $5 for kids
