Some time ago (it could have been years ago, actually) there was an article run, probably in The Item, about classes being offered to the public downtown. I think the one being highlighted was painting or art appreciation or something like that, but they mentioned others that were coming up like jewelry making and more.

Recently I've had the inclination to take a course in my spare (however limited it may be) time. I'd like to learn to bake artisian bread and properly sharpen my kitchen knives. Or maybe something like a potter class that I could take with my daughter.

But I can't find any information... I've Googled/searched every possible term & phrase I could think of. I've been on the city sites. Nothing.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks, Mary Ann, but I don't think these were offered by any of the local schools. They were free community classes and I thought they were offered by the city, but still can't find anything on them.

My only other idea is to search old editions of The Item with anything you can remember about the article.
Google News Archive Search
The Item is indexed here.
