In other Columbus Park news, a company that in-part owns The Maple Mart gas station just purchased some land next to Hobby Lobby back in July, interested to see what they do here, maybe a gas station?

That looks like a pretty big chunk of land I've wondered if anything could go there or if it was just a drainage area. They could put in a gas station, but it looks large enough to fit more than just that there.

I agree. I'm thinking a retail/restaurant development with a possible gas station up front? Good hotel site too.

That's lindsey creek which drains into Lake Heath I doubt anything else can be put in that spot lol, Theres a little parcel of land next to pep boy....a gas station would be awesome because there's a long drive on either end of the strip to the closest gas station.

That thought actually crossed my mind the other day before this was posted. It would be nice to have a gas stations on that strip, there's the Sam's one but they are closed half the time I need gas.

Well Maple Mart is a liquor store, gas and bar so could be something like that.

I tried to post a picture, but of that land only a 1.75 Ac square right behind the auto body place is above the flood zone - so you could build a 6,000 - 9,000 SF building on it, but it not going to be a gas station - it's off the main road and on the wrong side of the road, incoming traffic not going home traffic.

We need more sports-themed "bars" imo. Taco Mac, BeerWorld etc....

Check that it's a restaurant - ground lease, at least 82 parking spaces and a building not more than 5,700 SF to be used as a restaurant

must be built and operating within 5 years

"Check that" what? What is a ground lease?
I figured most of it probably wasn't usable since the sale price was pretty cheap for that area.
