A new community support complex will open at Oxbow Meadows on Saturday, Oct. 26 that includes a dog park, festival field, and pavilion.

A grand opening event is free and open to the public. It begins at 10 a.m. with a formal ribbon cutting by Mayor Teresa Tomlinson and other community leaders. Afterward, there will be activities for dogs and dog-lovers, including pet adoption opportunities, dog agility trainers, demos and exhibits from local K-9 police units.

The dog park is free for public use and will include separate facilities for small and large dogs.

Hubby and I will be moving to Columbus this year. Can you give me a general idea of where this Dog Park is located? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Columbus! Where will you be moving from?

The dog park is located at Oxbox Meadows. It is near the new National Infantry Museum by Fort Benning. This website should help.

Thanks for the info! I'll check out that website. We will be moving from the Metro Atlanta area (currently we are about 38ish miles northeast of Atlanta).
