I am going to be working off georgesville road and Hilliard looks like a nice place to live. Does anyone have a negative of living in or around Hilliard? The schools and the nice area the two main driving forces. I am planning a trip for early October with a late October early November move.

Without knowing anything about you, it's hard to say for sure, but you'd be close to work. I think it's important to have a reasonable commute time. It adds a lot to one's quality of life, I think.

Most of the negatives I've heard about Hilliard are from renters in their late 20s who really need to be living in or around downtown with the drinking and nightlife they like to take in. They find the area rather dull in the evenings. I haven't heard any real complaints, other than disliking rush hour traffic, from the 30-something co-workers who live there (and have families). There's certainly several grocery stores, drug stores, cleaners, and several strip malls close at hand, along with some chain restaurants. If you lived there, you wouldn't have a long drive to complete your weekly errands or grab a meal out.

It's not especially posh or trendy, but it's affordable and a lot of nice people live there.

Sounds awesome. I have a wife and two kids and I like a quiet neighborhood.

I think you'll find it fits the bill. Enjoy your trip! October is a mixed month: it can be crisp and cool or endless rain, depending on what the jet stream is doing. I hope you get some of the wonderful dry fall days.
