Can any forum members give any insight to what is going on at that Ymca residence building on Long St.? I work downtown and have heard horror stories of the things that go on inside that building. I have heard the drug dealings and crime is all covered up to protect the image of the Y. I used to donate $200 a year to the people helping people program but not anymore.

I've heard that about the YMCA and didn't want to believe it. This week they hauled one of the biggest drug dealers in Columbus who was a resident there, my boss said the police found enough cocaine in his room to put him away for life.

As a current resident at the YMCA, I will stand and proclaim from the rooftops, that the YMCA is a glorified crackhouse. I've experienced more drugs in that place than out on the street, in homeless shelters, etc. etc. The staff are all bumbling idiots; especially Jeff Hogle the director of so called 'case workers.' On top of all that, it's filthy, they don't follow any building codes, do not handle problems with residents who are known drug dealers, they should close the place down.

Is it the Y or the Salesian Center that is used as a halfway house for inmates?

Not saying that will make any place bad to live as I know people who have went through there on their way back out, but just curious.
