The simplest thing to try is TL's idea. Especially blowing compressed air under and around the key. Often times a piece of dust, lint, bagel, etc. gets jammed under there.

I just did that and now I;m able to do this below so I guess that may have been the issue

LOL. But I still need to look into ebay so i can get another laptop because i need backup just in case something happens to this computer.

Why has nobody suggested unplugging the keyboard and cleaning it? If one or two keys are sticking, it's a big simple DOH that it's probably just grungy and needs a basic clean which you can easily do yourself. Please tell me you don't need step by step directions ... Hint, don't put the keyboard under running water.

Because that's not what the OP is asking.

TurcoLoco suggested cleaning it... well at least cleaning around the problem key.

but the best and cheapest fix is to buy a regular keyboard and attach to the laptop. You can get is for few bucks at Goodwill too ( look for Goodwill that has computer section)

Seems a bunch of posters missed post #12.

BTW OP, I'm using an external USB keyboard and mouse now. I don't like to type on a laptop keyboard and a wireless mouse is easier to use on the arm of my recliner.
