I have a half a closet full. I actually want to get rid of it by the end of the year. A lot of it is just junk that has just accumulated, but I actually want to organize my cables and get stuff in order.
Between this and my garage, it's going to be a busy winter.
I just took four or five boxes of old ISA cards, floppy drives, ribbon cables and other junk to the electronics recyclers a few weeks ago. They had been sitting in a closet for years.
One of the things in that box was the install disks for Photoshop 3. The entire install fit on 6 floppy disks.
I had some D&D (Forgotten Realms) games that were about that much if not more. The installs (in DOS obv.) took forever.
I think maybe even the first Arena game was like that too.
Last week, we cleared out several large boxes full of old computer related stuff.
We donated old monitors, mice, blank CD’s, Iomega Zip drives, old desktops (probably from the early 2000’s), old smartphones (old Blackberry models), old keyboards, old software, old laptops, over to the local Goodwill store.

I mostly keep the first models. They gain worth on auctions.
Someday they will be collectibles.
I just moved out of a place I lived for 20+ years. I got rid of two large Lowe's moving boxes worth of old hardware. Cases, power supplies, HDDs, CD-ROMS, even a few ISA cards.
I drop off outdated computer parts and books to Goodwill on a regular basis. If it no longer works, I throw it away. I just delivered a 65 pound, 22 inch CRT monitor to the recycling place last week, along with 30 years of used motor oil, oil paints, etc. I had to drive to the adjacent county, but it was well worth it. Free, too. It seemed a shame to dispose of a monitor in perfect working order, but I can't imagine that anyone would have a use for it now.
I have a SuperDisk, along with an adapter, so I could still read floppy disks if I installed it. I just did a search, and do not have much in the way of floppies anymore.
