When I bought a newer iMac a couple of years ago, I tried the wireless board which came with it, but soon found I couldn't do without the forward delete, page up, page down and home and end keys, so I bought the extended keyboard.
I am very satisfied with the touch and feel of the this type of keyboard, though I was dubious at first. Now I use the wireless keyboard with my iPad Air whenever I have any serious typing to do on it.
I like the wireless one for its.. 'wireless-ness'. I've also gotten used to the small size and like the feel. That said, I've no clue why the extended keyboard isn't available in a wireless option. If so, I'd opt for that on the desk as it would open up a lot of the default keyboard shortcuts in my Windows VM that isn't available with the small one.
I linked to this in the OP. Third keyboard on the list. It's a great beginner keyboard. Solidly built.
Yeah. I'm just saying which keyboard I use like you asked. I use that at work at least because I work for a company with too much money. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a keyboard at home. I am way too hard them, and spend way too many hours working and eating at my desk haha. I've been building software for 15 years, and I've probably filled a landfill with keyboards by now

By the link, it looks like you can pick up a green mx CODE keyboard for only $170. A great deal for such an affordable price. Much cheaper than the HHKB2.

I personally prefer MX switches despite the HHKB2 being rated one of the best keyboards. I'm actually eying the Poker 3. They switched the secondary layout a little bit from the Poker 2. I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I don't like the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000. I've been using it for years, and have to keep getting new ones. Half the new ones I get, the space bar doesn't work right. You have to press it too hard. They sell more, because people have to keep buying them till they get one that works right. The only reason I use the 4000 is because other keyboards are even worse. When I finally get one that works right, it works for about a year, then I have to start buying new ones again, till I finally get another one that works right.

A lot of people I know went with the Kinesis for their ergonomic keyboards.
Gotta tip my hat to ya, at work I tried (when they first came out a Microsoft ergonometric keyboard) and never got comfortable with the keys being split across the keyboard.
And the one you purchased has even more of a split, does that make me a dinosaur?
Currently I'm using an iHome keyboard, which I'm not terribly impressed with. The key action and feel kinda sucks. I got this one after my venerable $20 Microsoft keyboard from Office Depot started acting up after two and a half years. I tried Apple keyboards, and will never buy another one. I went through three of them in three months. Invariably keys would quit working on them, and no fix I could find online would work to get them working again. I really liked the feel of them, and they were wonderful, for about a month, then they went bad on me.
I wanted to just get another $20 Microsoft keyboard, but could not find those anymore.
Actually the one have at present (I've had about five of them over the years) is from the company that bought the license from IBM and makes them these days. I used to do ergonomic keyboards, but the keys on these things are so huge and so much space between keys you can just naturally type in that position.
And besides if you're ever attacked by a maniac, it ways at least five pounds, you can take it and break his head open like an egg probably with only one good whack...
