I had thought it was just the lack of updating, since I don't do it often, but even after I installed a newer version of my OS (its a linux system) with the latest firefox the crashes continued. I may have to try chrome for a while at this rate!

Is it just my system or is this a common problem with firefox?

Firefox frequently crashes on my Win 7 machine and has for months now.. I tried Chrome and it's ok, but I'm running both now. Chrome crashes sometimes too.

The newer versions of Firefox are dreadful on my XP system, which is why I continue to run version 13 - fast and smooth.

Seems complaints are coming from users running a wide variety of OSs these days, so it is hard to figure just who Mozilla is trying to please with these "updates".

I quit FF after countless crashes. Went to Avant, it took a bit of getting use too but no problems so far. I really miss XP, Win 7 just isn't as good.

Firefox became to bloated and slow for me a while back. I only use Chrome and Safari these days.

I have been using Firefox for years, running it now under Mountain Lion and I have no bugs to complain of. Come to think of it I have nothing to complain of since leaving Windows with it's vulnerabilities and self-corrupting registry behind. Firefox works like a charm for me.
