I have not used WINE since the XP days. You should be able to find some YouTube tutorials on the basics of installing Windows programs under WINE.

I have, and for the most part, they haven't helped.

All of my laptops dual-boot between Windows and some form of Linux. If you HAVE to do something under Windows, do it under Windows.

Next option - virtual machine. VirtualBox is free. Or install KVM.

I've been able to get the opening screen to BattleNet (via Lutris) to load, but other than e-mail address and password it doesn't say what all other entries are for. Thanks for the info, I'll try Vitual Box first.

I haven't played WoW in over 6 years but back then, I ran it on a Linux-only machine using Wine with no major problems. Sometimes it would randomly crash and sometimes I would have trouble updating patches and had to download them from alternate locations.

But I pretty much used the stock configurations for Wine, WoW, and Ubuntu.

I might just give up on WoW. I found a site this morning that had 100 FREE games that were designed for Linux. It had a number of MMORPGs, as well as racing games, and first-person shooters.
